Drop-off and Rental HelpersWe know that having a vehicle repaired is not something that you do everyday so we have jotted down a few ideas to help you along. We hope you find it useful. Please feel free to call if you have any questions! General Drop-off Procedures- Please remove your belongings from your vehicle. A collision repair shop can be a very dusty place. We try our best, but we really don't have a place to put your things to get them out of the way and they will end up getting dusty while we are repairing your vehicle. ALSO, most vehicles will be vacuumed and cleaned when they are finished and we can do a much better job if they are cleaned out first. - PLEASE do not give us your valet key. We may need access to your trunk to remove bolts or taillamps or your glove box to access your owner's manual. Please remove your belongings if you are worried about them. - Make sure you bring the estimate your insurance company wrote. If you do not have one please bring your claim number. - Ask your insurance company how they are paying for your damage. Are they sending you a check? Are they sending a check directly to us? Are they sending you an electronic payment? Ask well before your car is finished so there are no delays in picking up your car. - You can tell the insurance company to send us a check directly. As long as they are sending it here, you can pick up your car without that portion of payment. - We will accept insurance checks that are made out to you, the vehicle owner. You can endorse the check here when you pick-up your car. Rental Car Procedures- Do not get your rental car before you drop off your car. Your insurance company will not pay for it. - Call the rental company as soon as you have your appointment with us. Sometimes your insurance company will tell you that they arranged the rental for you, but this just means the billing portion. You will have to communicate with the rental car company directly to confirm the date, time and type of vehicle you need. - Also call the rental company the day before your appointment to make sure everything is still in place for your drop-off with us. - Your insurance company will pay for the rental as long as we are working on your vehicle. They will give a guideline of allotted days before you drop off, but if the repair takes longer because of addititional repairs they will extend the amount of days they will pay for. - Don't get caught without a rental!! If anyone calls to tell you that your car is finished please call to check with us before you return your rental.
